Course overview
The use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is useful tool in the hands of the trained healthcare provider, offering rapid diagnosis and objective feedback during interventions. In this course, we review basic ultrasound physics, probe selection, machine and probe manipulation for image acquisition, and basic ultrasound modes and measurement tools.
On completion of this course, the learner will have the necessary foundational understanding of diagnostic ultrasound as a prerequisite to attending a diagnostic ultrasound instructional lab course.
